Medieval clock installed in 1410 and the only one still working in the world - The Prague Astronomical Clock. A truly fascinating piece of engineering.
It’s nice to see an image of Afghanistan that’s not showing poverty and war.
There is something about the deep azure skies, bright white buildings topped with blue domes, splashes of color in the homes that say ‘welcome’ and the intense heat of the sun - all of which makes me want to go to Santorini, find a spot on the beach and soak it all in.
The Louvre all lit up at night - a beautiful space to house all the treasure within.
Lichtenstein Castle, Germany - looks like it’s rising up in all its glory out of the rough rocks below. Romantic, precariously perched, it’s known as the fairytale castle - lucky descendents still own this beautiful place.
Hmm…this is interesting, a collection of transparent bubble shelters meant to allow one to enjoy and experience nature as if in the comfort of your bedroom without disturbing the surroundings and with the least amount of impact. It reduces noises from the outside as well as from the inside.
How do you experience nature without the chirping of crickets, birds and other natural delights? A whole new level of camping.
Beijing architects MAD have designed a skyscraper for Chongqing, China, with gardens at each level.
Rather than consider the project vertically, the architects envisage a stack of floors, each slice shifted horizontally to create spaces for gardens and patios.
The 385 metre-high building will be called Urban Forest.
Introducing natural surroundings to urban topography, the MAD Architects have popped up a high-rise building, the Urban Forest, which seems to uplift both the environment as well as economy of the area. Situated in Chongqing, China, the commercial structure features curved, abstracted shaped floors connected by a core cylindrical structure.
Almost all the floors incorporate green spaces to create a natural environment throughout the structure. The floors enveloped in full length glass windows with a see-through, wrap around balcony have been layered off-center (to some extent) from one another, giving it an appearance of a floating structure. The see-through facades of the structure create an amazing vision for both the people within and outside.
Imagination runs wild in this St Louis Museum - a seven story spiral slide. Activities that are off the beaten path, what a great play space.
